VINTAGE SHELL OIL PLASTIC SHOT GLASS SHELL PECTEN 1960’S

Description

A vintage Shell Oil plastic type shot glass(?) molded in the Emeryville California chemical lab in the 1960’s.  This shot glass, as the technician referred to it, was molded in the presence of this seller while on a tour of the facility.  Technicians had a machined mold of the shot glass and injected the chemical polypropylene to produce this item.  On the bottom there is the name Shell and Polypropylene.  Two sides have the Shell pecten logo embossed and the other two sides are plain. Inside there are molded lines that possibly denote different volumes.  The technician used the term shot glass because of its appearance and possible use, but it could be used for any measuring or small item storage.
It measures 2” tall and 1 1/2” across at the top.  It is in very nice condition.  The Shell signage shown in the photos is NOT included in this offer.   You are bidding on only the shot glass.
