    Description

Intense green, water clear emeralds are classed as one of the four precious gems, along with diamonds, rubies, and sapphires. But emeralds can also be milky and pale, even colorless. Some lessor pieces can still be graded as "semi-precious" and much that is less colorful is simply discarded as rubble. This piece came from India where a gem-cutter had some time on his hands or was practicing his craft and he cut and polished this example. I purchased the finished stone, cored it, and placed the threaded insert to give it new purpose as a vintage, classic style shift knob. So it has value as to its function plus it has value as to its raw material. Did I mention it's one-of-a-kind?
Because I've inserted my master, 16mm threaded insert, I will supply a thread reducer to match whatever shift lever thread the buyer needs. The buyer has to inform me of which thread he/she needs before I can ship. If the buyer neglects to inform me, I will try one more time and ask. If the buyer remains silent, I'll ship without a thread reducer. (Thread reducers are available on eBay and online lots of places.) I hope I have been clear so no one should be blindsided. I'm here to help with any issues. A thread reducer is shown in the last photo. You get one of those.
(I used a bolt in the photos to indicate how the gemstone knob is positioned on a typical shift lever. Sorry, you don't get the bolt. LOL)
