    Description

    This is a First Edition used copy of Ten Imaginary Years, written by Lydie Barbarian, Steve Sutherland and Robert Smith. Published by
    Zomba Books / Fiction Records. This is an extremely clean and well-cared for copy. It almost looks new and really the only way to tell is that is not is that the page edges are not sharp (as if freshly cut), and the binding is not tight -- it will lay open flat.
    I've looked at many copies of this book and there are 3 ways you can tell if it's a first edition. Easiest of course is that it says "First Edition" on the title page. The back will also have the price listed in pounds sterling, specifically
    £8.95. There is also a "Proost" watermark on the bottom left of the last page in first editions. I've attached pictures to show all of these are present in this copy and it is indeed an original 1988 copy.
    This is the definitive history of The Cure's first ten years as a band with tons of pictures, inside stories, newspaper and magazine clippings, photos of singles, and a complete discography through the year it was written. There is a bio page for each band member at the back, with photos of them as kids. Best of all, you know everything in this book is accurate, since Robert Smith was involved in the writing of it!
    The cover artwork was designed by Parched Art, who designed most of The Cure's artwork on their albums and singles, and is a collaboration by artist Andy Vella and Cure guitarist and artist Pearl (Porl) Thompson.
    This has long been out of print, but if you are a Cure fan or collector, you definitely need it as part of your collection!
    I also have a "new" copy of this available which has never been read, and other used copies that were reprints from 1994 and will have a little less value, but still great if you just want to read this. Please enquire!
