Norm Grabowski Skull Shift Knob *RARE*
My dad knew Norm and also did some work for him on some of his cars. Pops was kind of a hot rod legend in Oklahoma for around 50 years and had several of his projects featured in Hot Rod Magazine as well as Street Rodder and StreetScene. He bought this Grabowski shift knob as he knew they were cool and would be a collectible hot rod item. I have heard that there are maybe 600-700 of these hand-carved original knobs that were fashioned by Norm himself. Most rod guys are not willing to part with them and finding one is nearly impossible. This item is guaranteed authentic and has the Grabowski red coin, .38 slug, and even the original Crown Royal bag that he sold them in. This is a rare piece and each skull is a hand-carved one-of-a-kind. The dimensions are approximately 5x3.5x3”. The knob is threaded for a standard floor shifter and is the ultimate finishing touch for a top-end show winner. The knob is in great condition and shows very little wear. Norm made some of these skulls with two eyes and some with one eye. He also made some with no eyes.
I cannot find any other of these for sale on the Internet. It is truly a piece of art. I included a picture of my dad and Norm and Norm’s T-Bucket, “Kookie” from a car show they both attended.
