Amazing and beyond rare Lot of 4 items from Private Memorial Service for infamous artist, fashion illustrator and designer Antonio Lopez (1943-1987) held in New York City on April 28, 1987, who tragically died of AIDS or other conditions related to the disease at a very young age. He was incredibly gifted and had millions of fans and admirers - and his work was highly sought after.The service or celebration of his life was attended by many famous people in the fashion, photography, literary, music and art world several who spoke at the service including Fran Lebowtiz, Marvin Feldman, Bill Cunningham and Roy Brown. This 'collection' was purchased from an individual who attended the service and kept the items as shown. Items include an itinerary or schedule of the evening's events with speaker or entertainer, music lyrics from Roy Brown (front and back two songs) possibly specifically written for Antonio, a card with Antonio artwork on front and his name with years he lived printed within and a copy of the Sept./Oct. 1986 Magazine (complete issue) of American Fabrics & Fashions featuring front and back cover artwork by Antonio. Magazine is 148 pgs. Yes, the magazine was also given to everyone who attended the service as Antonio must have been very proud of it.
This unique and very personal collection is amazing.
