There are chips along the bottom edge from being tossed around. The one side was painted silver and the other side had what looks like a label at one time. This has the name The Embalmer's Supply Westport,Conn. pressed into the crate. The other side is the address it was sent to which was Linton Funeral Home Linton & Son Crown Point Indiana. The crate is in good solid condition with stains,chips and general wear. This is probably over 100 years old.
