Description

Antique German
Armand Marseille
Bisque Head Doll
on Ball Jointed Composition Body
Approximately 23" Tall
Bisque Head is marked with
1894
AM 10 DEP
Made in Germany
She is wearing a vintage handmade silk dress that was never completed
and lace was held on with straight pins
She has a messy wig that may be original ?
Blue Glass Eyes that no longer have their rocker and have been permanently set
No known damage to bisque head, but she does have some white spots
and maybe a mold imperfect to the side of one eye
There is residual glue on her head that needs further cleaning
This doll was one of my first antique doll purchases back in the 1970's
and this is the first time I have undress her and took a close look at her.
She does need "refreshing" after all these years
We will include her vintage bloomers and half slip, but neither actually fit her
and they were held in place with safety pins
She comes with vintage shoes and socks,
but we have no idea if they are original and the shoes are not in great condition
Her body is in particularly nice condition for its age, with some minor
scuffs
and
just a small
bit of chipping on her feet, joints, and a larger area behind one arm
Overall, she displays nicely
