Description
You're bidding on an antique girl doll - bisque head and hands, leather jointed body, 21" tall - back-marked with the horseshoe mark of Ernst Heubach, a German manufacturer in Koppelsdorf, operating under this mark from about 1885 until circa 1919, when they merged with another company.Note some issues of condition - mainly, her blond wig appears original but is worn and a bit threadbare - see photos. Nice handpainted expression remains appealing, but note some chip/wear of her painted eyelids - she's a sleepy eye doll. Eyes still open and close perfectly. Bisque hands still in good condition, as is the leather body. She is wearing what appears to be original night clothes - some soil/spotting/wear as pictured, but decent or age and type. Her stockings are in quite good condition - so good that I'm not sure they are original - see photos.
Please review photos carefully to make your own determination of overall condition and appeal, and don't hesitate to ask any questions prior to bidding - thanks for looking!
