26" Antique Simon-Halbig Bisque Head Doll Mold #1079

Description

This auction is for a 26” Simon-Halbig German doll on an all composition, ball-jointed body. She is in excellent used condition. I’m hoping someone will give her a new home.
The porcelain head is perfect, free of hairlines, chips, cracks or restorations. She has very pretty blue stationary, glass eyes. The eyes have been reset. She has painted feathered brows and lashes and painted lips with liner showing 4 teeth. There are the traditional dots painted in the eye corners and nostrils. The cheeks are subtly blushed on her creamy bisque. She wears a replacement synthetic blonde wig styled in shoulder-length banana curls around the head with bangs. Pate is a replacement. Please see photos as they show details better than I can describe.
The composition body is still very nice—there is no composition wear and tear at the joints. The neck has some very minimal composition deterioration. She has all her fingers and toes. The only thing that’s noticeable is the paint finish has discolored in certain areas.
Costume Style: Light coral pink A-line, midi-length antique dress, with 3/4 length sleeves. Dress has cotton lace strips down the front of the dress. Fabric rosettes are placed at the waistline. Neckline and sleeve edges are trimmed with cotton (embroidered) lace; a white, A-line cotton slip; pantalets that are light coral-colored gauze bloomers home-sewn to match the dress; cotton knit socks, antique oilcloth that tie in a bow.

. The head will be stuffed for shipment to protect the eye mechanism. Doll comes with a stand.

Additionally, I'm not responsible for the poor handling of the package during shipment. I pack very well to insure safe delivery. I charge a small handling fee to help with the cost of shipping materials used when packing antique dolls. Sorry, I do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii, nor do I ship internationally, so no international bidders please.
